RYA Marine Radio course in Dorset.

ABC Sailing now offers the RYA Marine Radio Short Range Certificate course.  It is a one day course and costs £75 (not including licence). Contact us for further details.  The course covers protocols, distress, digital calling and so on.  You use a simulator radio to get a feel of the real situation.  Once you have passed the course you can apply for a licence which is a one-off cost of £25.  Then you can legally use a short range VHF radio at sea.
