Individual tuition

Come along to orchardfarmhouse and have one to one tuition for just £25 per hour.  It is an excellent way to learn fast.  Recently a student came along for a day to brush up on their navigation theory to feel confident for their Yachtmaster practical and exam.  Another wanted to feel more confident in their own boat that they understood height of tide.  Whatever skills you want to focus on, we will target just your needs so that in a short time you have the tools you need to go sailing with confidence.

Monday evenings from September 20th 2010.  RYA Day Skipper Theory. Eleven evenings and one Saturday (11th December.)  Cost £325.  Early bird discount - book before July 31st and the cost is only £295 per person.  Includes tea and coffee.  Venue is Orchard Farmhouse, Hazelbury Bryan which is between Dorchester, Blandford Forum and Sturminster Newton.  Relaxed, comfortable warm environment with good desks and lighting.

VHF Marine Radio.  A one day course for £75.  A radio licence costs £25.  We may be running one of these courses in September 2010 depending on demand.  Please enquire.

Intensive one week.  Yachtmaster Coastal and Offshore Theory or RYA Day Skipper Theory. We are currently assessing demand for a five day course in each of these in September.  Please enquire.  If you live in Dorset and South Somerset we suggest the non-residential option for £345 per person.  This includes a light organic lunch daily.  If you do not live locally, our residential option which includes bed, breakfast and light lunch, costs £595 per person - which reduces to £575 per person for a couple sharing.  Visit www.orchardfarmhouse.co.uk for details of our accommodation.  For your evening meal there are a variety of excellent pubs and restaurants locally.  You are also welcome to relax in the lounge in the evening - there is also space for studying.
